Cliff was poking around some of the incomplete shows and came across this treasure. Unfortunately, it cuts in the middle of a blistering jam in Masons Children, however it contains what could be the most underrated dark Star ever...

Thanks Cliff - Jamming it now. I really dig these partial shows for some reason. I find them mysterious...

nice find...they waste no time after the inro motif to get into a brisk jam...the drums are extremely low in the mix, while the guitars sound great...they carry a really nice momentum through the whole damn thing...those '70 romp jams on two and three chords could sound so good when the Dead did it...not as magical as 02-13...but that's unfair to this version...

hard to say this is the all time most under-rated, but it's certainly on the list (think of all the versions to consider beyond the top 5 or so "best of" versions)...however, it is certainly a very nice recommendation on your part to dig this show up...

Agreed, Liam. My personal bias is toward Dark Stars that involve Keith, and that is a great one. Haven't listened to it in a while...

Winwood is one amazing musician...one of my favorites. Talented in the sense that Jerry was, along with McCartney, and a few others...the guys that can play every instrument, write every song, etc., etc.
